The Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2011 was awarded to Dan Shechtman "for the discovery of quasicrystals"

In the name of C-MAC I express my deepest congratulations to Dan Shechtman for this prestigious Prize. His discovery has led to a revolution in solid state physic and chemistry. Although they are now better understood, quasicrystals remain  fascinating materials and are one of our main research area within C-MAC.
